If you really want to sort it out you'll have to get the ratio's changed in the gearbox because 10,500rpm is revving pretty hard on any bike let alone a single cylinder 125!

Not impossible though.....

easy 110mph if fully race prepped! Just look at the Aprilia RS (two stroke though)

yep its alot of work though. If 20+hp is proven from exhaust and remap then i will get that and change sprockets for top speed as acceleration is good anyway

hi jono, thanks for the info also!

i agree about the £100 per bhp is a bit expensive, lol but if a remap n exhaust is proven that good i might change my mind .

ive done bout 240miles now, cant wait to even be able to hit 8000rpm! what sort of speed does it do then, hope its bout 60 at least, doing 50 for last 240miles has done my head in!

how much did your 1st service cost?i know its labour free but wat the oil etc cost?

think i might get tail tidy in couple of months ent bothered to much bout it at mo,ill get the evotech tho. gonna take that front l plate off and cut it down and stick it on front mud gaurd, looks much better!

i changed the front sprocket on my old cbr, went 2 teeth up and did drop revs quite bit but didnt get much more up top, think i should have gone 1 tooth up insted of 2.affected accelleration too much

Does go at least 60, about 63 really at 8 grand. My first service cost £30 but felt a like I was being jipped so let me know how much yours cost. Was going to say last night about changing the sprocket ratio, but I wouldn't bother doing it till the power goes up. Thing is, with the big torque figure on this bike it shoud be able to handle it a lot better than a cbr, I raced a 08 plate cbr off the lights (mines 08 also obviously) and left her (hello) for dead! Let her catch up a few times and then just gunned it again! Seeya.....

Just saw the video omn youtube of the micron exhaust it shows a graph too. yeh just a slight power increase without re-map and a tiny increase in torque. So not worth it without remap, but it looks as though the pipework has a flange to allow a variety of end cans to be used so thats one good thing i suppose

yeah ill let you know what it costs, wont be for a few weeks though havent quite reached 300miles yet. wouldnt surprise me if was that much, yamlube will prob be £15 or more. and youve got oil filter etc. i will wait and see. i always found my cbr to be a bit slugish. i had a cbr, aprilia rs,and sachs xtc and i think the yam is gonna be the best from what ive seen so far, engine has a fair bit of torque low down compared to the others.pulls in top gear so much better even from low revs.

i might ask about a different front sproket at my service and see what they say, keep the revs lower at high speeds anyway.can always swap it back. my cbr sprocket only cost a fiver!

you got a link for the micron vid you saw or what did you search as.

bikes only just gone onto reserve and its done 270miles!couldnt belive it!
